INFORMATION TEXT OF THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW

  1. RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA
    This Information Text has been prepared by the Martyrs, Veterans, and Anti-Terrorism Foundation in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“Law”), for the purpose of protecting, processing, and informing about the rights arising in this process of personal data belonging to the relatives of martyrs, veterans, affiliates, employees, volunteers, and all stakeholders visiting our website.
  2. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
    The personal data and special categories of personal data (health data, disability degrees, etc.) collected by our foundation are processed in accordance with the public interest and the purposes of the foundation as specified below, within the framework of Article 61 of the Constitution and relevant legislation:
  • Verification of the status of martyr relatives and veteran rights holders before official authorities,
  • Planning and providing education, scholarships, and social assistance for the children of martyrs,
  • Providing health, prosthetic, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support services for our veterans,
  • Accounting for cash, in-kind, event, and copyright donations made to our foundation and carrying out official publication transactions,
  • Realization of mandatory legal notifications to the General Directorate of Foundations in accordance with the Foundations Law No. 5737,
  • Conducting foundation activities in accordance with transparency, auditability, and information security standards.
  1. PROCESSED PERSONAL DATA
    Within the scope of your relationship with the foundation (as an applicant, affiliate, or volunteer), the following data may be processed:
  • Identity Information: Name, surname, Turkish ID number, signature.
  • Contact Information: Phone number, email address, residence/cargo address.
  • Financial Information: Bank account information, IBAN, donation amounts, receipt details.
  • Special Categories of Personal Data (For Rights Holders Only): Health board reports, disability degree, martyr/vocational disability certificate.
  • Visual/Auditory Data: Photos taken at events, video recordings.
  1. PARTIES TO WHOM PERSONAL DATA WILL BE TRANSFERRED AND PURPOSE OF TRANSFER
    Your collected personal data will be transferred only to fulfill the purposes mentioned above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law:
  • Ministry of Family and Social Services and General Directorate of Foundations, as well as other authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope of legal obligations,
  • To contracted banks and financial institutions for the purpose of completing scholarship payments, health expenses, and donation transactions,
  • To cargo and logistics companies for the purpose of delivering in-kind donations and printed certificates,
  • For the follow-up of legal processes on behalf of the foundation, data may be transferred to our legal consultancy. Your data will never be sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
  1. METHOD OR LEGAL REASON FOR COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA
    Your personal data is collected through online application forms on our website, assistance application screens, physical petitions, contracts, and official documents obtained via e-government, either fully or partially automatically, or through non-automatic means as part of a data recording system.
    The data in question is processed based on the legal reasons specified in Article 5/2 of the Law: “foreseen explicitly in the laws”, “establishment or performance of a contract”, and “fulfillment of the legal obligations of the data controller”.
  2. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT UNDER ARTICLE 11 OF THE LAW
    As a data subject, you can apply to our foundation under Article 11 of the Law;
  • To learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • If processed, to request information regarding it,
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used appropriately for that purpose,
  • To know the third parties to whom it is transferred within or outside the country,
  • If incomplete or incorrectly processed, to request correction, and to request deletion/destruction within the framework of the conditions specified in Article 7 of the Law,
  • You have the right to object to the emergence of a result against you by analyzing your processed data through automated systems.
