Our Foundation was established with the mission of preserving and passing on to future generations the cherished memory of our revered Martyrs, who—particularly while serving in the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkish National Police—selflessly sacrificed their lives in the struggle to protect the indivisible integrity of our Homeland, the survival of our State, and the unity and solidarity of our Nation, as well as our heroic Veterans who were wounded in the line of duty.

It also aims to alleviate the challenges faced by the families of our Martyrs and our Veterans; to uphold the dignity and sacred significance of the concepts of martyrdom and veteranhood; to foster social and cultural ties among Martyrs’ families and Veterans; to monitor and protect their social and personal rights; to support the education and training of their children; to strengthen the values of sacrifice, solidarity, and mutual assistance; to provide material and moral support within the means of the Foundation; and to make an advanced contribution to supporting the services and efforts of our State in the fight against terrorism.

For this purpose, our Foundation works to strengthen public awareness of Martyrs and Veterans and to support our State’s counterterrorism policy. It develops comprehensive and integrated strategies, carries out coordinated activities with all institutions of the State, and cooperates with other institutions and organizations that prioritize and add value to State policies.

Furthermore, establishing sustainable and constructive communication with national and international public opinion at every level—and promoting a culture of understanding, explanation, and value creation—constitute the Foundation’s principal areas of activity.

Accordingly, priority is given to ensuring qualified representation in every field and providing institutional support capable of advancing our State’s policies concerning Martyrs, Veterans, and the fight against terrorism.

Effectively, promptly, and resolutely addressing and resolving every issue faced by our revered Martyrs, who sealed the unity of our Homeland with their blood, and our heroic Veterans constitutes one of our most important areas of responsibility.

The effective management of all our activities, together with our commitment to carrying out joint initiatives with public institutions, national and international media organizations, civil society organizations, academia, and think tanks, forms an integral part of our core principles.
