Our Chairman Mr. Kutbettin ÖMEROĞLU, our Deputy Chairman Mr. İsmet ERDOĞAN, and our President of Foreign Organizations Mr. Nami ONUR formed a delegation that conducted an official visit program in Azerbaijan.
During the visit, Turkish martyrs’ cemeteries located on Azerbaijani territory were observed on-site, and field studies were carried out to identify and locate lost and new martyr graves.
On the last day of the visit, we met with our Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Baku, Prof. Dr. Birol AKGÜN, to provide information regarding the ongoing martyr cemetery identification efforts, and discussed joint efforts to preserve our ancestors’ spiritual heritage in Azerbaijan, restore our martyr cemeteries, and transfer them to the future.
We thank the esteemed Ambassador for their kind hospitality and close interest shown to our delegation during the activities, and we remember our dear martyrs with mercy and gratitude.
