Our Foundation has made approximately 100 sacrificial donations across Turkey. Among our provinces are Kastamonu, Amasya, Samsun, Erzurum, Ankara, and Batman.”
The program in Arnavutköy was attended by the Foundation’s Deputy Chairman İsmet Erdoğan, veterans, families of martyrs, and some citizens.
Erdoğan told AA reporter that they have been traditionally making sacrificial donations to the families of martyrs and veterans for 3 years.
Stating that they are simultaneously making sacrificial donations in many provinces in Turkey, Erdoğan said, “We will present the sacrificial animals to our veteran and martyr families. Those who wish can take their sacrifices themselves, and those who want can come on the second day of the holiday, give their proxy, have their sacrifices slaughtered, and then have them cut up and taken home. Today we are making 30 sacrificial donations in Istanbul. Our Foundation has made approximately 100 sacrificial donations across Turkey. Among our provinces are Kastamonu, Amasya, Samsun, Erzurum, Ankara, and Batman.” he stated.
Erdoğan expressed that the families of martyrs and veterans carry the pain they experience during the holiday in their hearts.
Explaining that they will continue their services to alleviate the families’ pain to some extent, Erdoğan said, “I would like this meaningful sacrificial donation made by our Foundation to be seen within the scope of our state’s and nation’s sense of loyalty and gratitude, and to be known as a sharing of our common values.” he stated.
The program, where the sacrificial animals were distributed to the families, ended after a commemorative photo.
